The school conducted its first ever Brigada Eskwela 2020 Virtual Kick Off Ceremony via Facebook Livestream last June 26, 2020. It was participated by our very own City Mayor, Hon. Antolin “Lenlen” Oreta III and our Schools Division Superintendent, Dr. Mauro C. De Gulan. Mrs. Adelaida S. Alejo, our Public Schools District Supervisor gave her support to the school’s implementation of Brigada Eskwela. Mrs. Maria Luisa R. Jacaban the school principal, gave her welcome message. Other officials from the Brgy. Local Government Unit and other stakeholders expressed their support in the conduct of Brigada Eskwela.
For this year, Brigada Eskwela which is an annual activity of the school that aims to prepare the opening of classes under the theme “Pagpapanatili ng Bayanihan Tungo sa Kalidad na Edukasyon para sa Kabataan”, will run on June 1 until August 29, 2020.
Brigada Eskwela will deviate from the traditional concept of physical cleaning, painting, repainting, and doing minor repairs in schools and will instead prioritize preparations and strengthening partnership engagement to ensure that quality basic education will continue despite the challenges posed by COVID-19.
Stakeholders can support the initiative by donating thermal scanners; hand sanitizing equipment or materials; and printing of COVID-19 and sanitation/proper hand washing hygiene information materials to aid BE and OBE in introducing protection and health protocols to learners and teachers.
BE will also engage partners in the promotion and provision of learning options such as local radio and TV stations and other available media, and the printing of self-learning modules for distance learning, as a form of partnership to deliver the basic education curriculum in the time of COVID-19.
Parents may now enroll their children in Amang Rodriguez Elementary School through “drop boxes” or Tele-Tindahan available in school gate, barangay hall of Brgy. Baritan and other designated areas starting June 16, 2020. This will be set-up only for picking-up and dropping-off the Learner Enrollment and Survey Form.
Parent are advised to follow the instructions before heading to drop box kiosks:
• Drop box kiosks will only cater to those parents who do not have access to remote means (text, call, online and social media) to communicate with their schools but wish to enroll their child.
• Only one adult from a household with quarantine pass will be allowed to go to these kiosks.
• Parents and guardians needing assistance are advised to ask their respective barangay leadership in this transaction.
• Parents and guardians must be familiar with the advisory of the school or barangay on designated pick-up and submission points before going out.
